Figure Drawing on a Tuesday Night

              It’s raining outside. I’m home after three hours of figure drawing and I can’t stop staring. I spend a lot of time after I finish a piece, just looking at it. There’s such a silent communication that occurs then. It is wordless and informative in ways that I am challenged to articulate. This is the time when I am most likely to fall in love with a line, a mark. Currently, I am absorbed with the yellow block of color that crosses her nose. This was not planned, it just happened.
