Let the Buildings Burn
Let the buildings burn along with every excuse ever made, ever thought.
There are those who will kill you. They are dressed, camouflaged, as if they are protectors. But they murder in broad daylight, certain nothing will stop them. Deliberately pressing their knee down on your neck. Flanked and protected, they move as a unit.
They keep tackling and shooting and punching and wrestling you to the ground, methodically. Brutally. Horrifically. Each one with ears listening as you say, “I can’t breathe.” They keep kneeling past your pleading, past everything good that is human, past morality, past stopping, past dignity, past what it means to be alive.
Let the buildings burn along with every false pretense of liberty or justice or freedom for all.
