Staring into the flame

without blinking

before closing

your eyes

there is much

that will flicker

and flare

but hold on

as you look

and stare

closing your eyes

meet what is there

remaining

concentrated

able to see

anywhere

light lingers

introduces you

to sight

behind closed lids

able to pierce through

darkness, ignorance

flight

as you learn

becoming absorbed

conscious of all

that is bright.
