I continue to study yoga anatomy. This week brought me to the spine, the diaphragm (which is totally cool), and connective tissue. I move into yin yoga, postures that stretch connective tissue, where it is about support and letting go.
I read that qi is here in yoga (something I’ve suspected). It is postulated that qi moves through this connective tissue. The teaching is that long, supported, asanas stretch us as if we are taffy. From this kind of stretching, we create much needed space so our joints work more freely.
